Langford Cuts Trees Near Interchange to Make Paper for Passing of Bylaws to Begin Interchange Project

The headline is tongue in cheek, but perhaps I can be forgiven since it is April Fools’ Day, and since it is awfully peculiar in the opinion of many people that Langford started construction without passing its own bylaws (or securing financing, or getting environmental ministry approval, or…). April Fools: Democracy in Langford

April Fools’ Day is a fun diversion for many people.  Today, I invite you to not be fooled and join me in a search.

Can you find a dissenting vote made by any Langford council member in the past 5 years?

Check Langford’s extensive online “Hall of Records” (http://district.langford.bc.ca/documents.asp?type=agendasandminutes), and look under “Minutes.”  Scroll down to one of the three meeting options where all of Langford Council is present:  “Regular Council,” “Special Council,” (the last one of which was the infamous December 27th meeting), and “Committee of the Whole” (the last one held was on April 2007).
