For those that haven’t checked it out yet, the Luxton Market takes place again tomorrow. It’s every Saturday from now until October 4th.
I spoke to David Stott, a food security advocate and organiser behind the Market, yesterday and he informed me that the first market this year (last Saturday, May 31) broke all attendance records set last year (the Market’s first year).
The market has many of the normal types of vendors you’d associate with a farmer’s market, abd it has entertainers.
In years past I’ve traveled out to Metchosin and the Saanich Peninsula to attend farmer’s markets, and it’s wonderful to have one in Langford at last.
