Westshore cyclist competing in Olympics

Ryder Hesjedal, at his recent event at the velodrome, noted that he would be competing in two Olympic events: men’s road cycling and time-trialing. He noted that the two events would begin being televised on the 8th and the 15th.
Speaking on plans to remove the velodrome, his comments were brief but direct. “I credit a lot [of my Canadian time-trial title win] to my time on the Velodrome,” and “I’m obviously not very happy to hear what might happen to it.”
