New subdivision rules on Langford’s lakes passed

Langford Council passed the new subdivision rules for lakefront property at their Tuesday night Council Meeting. The new rules put forward two types of subdivions: those where riparian land (land that’s key to the health of the body of water) is donated to the City, and those where land is not. If land is given to City Hall then the lots are allowed to go as small as 950 square metres, otherwise lots can only be subdivided down to 1500 square metres. The new rules take effect immediately.
