Missing 15 year-old girl

The head of the Emergency Social Services team asked me to pass on this press release about a 15 year-old girl who went missing in the Shawnigan area recently, since we’re very close to there.

MISSING PERSON
Shawnigan Lake RCMP are asking for public assistance in locating a 15 year old female. Merzedese Ann KIRK left her Shawnigan Lake residence on foot on the evening of August 31, 2008, to visit a friend and has not been heard from since. KIRK was last seen wearing dark blue tracksuit pants, possibly wearing a hoodie or jacket with a tank top, white runners, and carrying an orange purse. She is described as approximately 155 cm (5’1″) and 58 kg (128 lbs) with long reddish brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with any information on the possible whereabouts of KIRK are urged to contact the Shawnigan Lake RCMP at (250)743-5514.
