Bridges, big signs, and tax free churches

The agenda is up for Monday night’s Council meeting. Amongst several development applications being discussed or voted upon, City Hall receiving an award for their affordable housing strategy, and a committee report on renewing property tax exemptions for 2009 (often granted to churchs and certain other institutions), are a few more controversial nuggets. Some might be interested in a variance request for a large sign for the Sheraton hotel on the A&W restaurant property on McCallum Road (West).
