They do now

Two days after Inside Langford discussed the fact that Langford was the only municipality without any information on their web site about the forthcoming November 15th municipal elections, Langford’s website now sports an article with some general information (and links to other resources) about the upcoming election.
One interesting detail in the information they posted is that the advance polls are November 5th and November 10th. It also notes that the last day to get on the voter’s list is September 30th at 4 PM. After that date, you’ll have to register at the polling station on election day (or at one of the advance polls). Thanks to City Hall staff for responding to this issue so promptly.

It is interesting that the Langford webpage about the coming election makes no reference to the nomination package for potential candidates.
The webpage does state, “Sections of the Local Government Act pertaining to elections may be picked up at Langford City Hall,” but I think it should state that nomination packages are currently available at Langford City Hall and will remain available until the nomination period ends.
Perhaps Langford is trying to discourage people from running for mayor and/or council. No discouragement here…Ryan Hinton for Langford Council.

Nice to see that the people in City Hall not only read Inside Langford, but aren’t afraid to respond positively to it!
