I discovered this site recently, and it’s a collection of news stories about the Westshore RCMP. It seems like they’re updating their Newsroom quite frequently, and they have several other resources there as well.

You guys at rcmp langford , esp . one dog handler are great , you have one dog handler , out fishing and probably drinking beer and vodka , and for no good reason , forgets about his dog . I think it should be fair for a $10,000 fine . Payable to the spca . , and this is not over , i am going to follow up on this !!!!!!!

I realize you gentleman/ladies are busy with other stuff on the fire and traffic
enforcement is kinda low priority.But i’m sure you could make a fortune in traffic
offences being carried out let me ask a question in this province IS IT LEGAL TO PASS

Rd.,bottom of triangle mountain.Maybe call me strange but people are complaining about
high insurance rates stop and think that maybe oh wait thinking?? what the #$$@@ we
have lotsa money to pay for damages.I ‘ve been driving for over 40+ years and have’nt
had an accident yet and being a professional driver you need that.All i can say is
driving is A PRIVALEDGE NOT A GOD GIVEN RIGHT. And in closing lets see more traffic
enforcement out there PLEASE OR SOMEONE’SGONNA BE KILLED MAYBE YOU.Inter-provincial

This is directly from the BC Motor Vehicle Act.
Passing on right
158 (1) The driver of a vehicle must not cause or permit the vehicle to overtake and pass on the right of another vehicle, except
(a) when the vehicle overtaken is making a left turn or its driver has signalled his or her intention to make a left turn,
(b) when on a laned roadway there is one or more than one unobstructed lane on the side of the roadway on which the driver is permitted to drive, or
(c) on a one way street or a highway on which traffic is restricted to one direction of movement, where the roadway is free from obstructions and is of sufficient width for 2 or more lanes of moving vehicles.
(2) Despite subsection (1), a driver of a vehicle must not cause the vehicle to overtake and pass another vehicle on the right
(a) when the movement cannot be made safely, or
(b) by driving the vehicle off the roadway.

My 86 year old neighbour in a Langford condo has one
Alberta plate and a completely broken right tail light.
She has lived in Victoria for five years. Is there any thing
that can be done? She is very, very stubborn.

What is the requirement regarding changing your Alberta
plate to British Columbia plates?

Upton – check with jurisdiction which issues you your plates. It is different for each province. I know folks who have moved here from Quebec, and they were not required to change their insurance (and plates) until they expired. If you are here temporarily (for example, for school) you may not be required to change your plates. This isn’t governed by BC, but by the Province that issues you your license/plates and insurance.
