The month started off with jebby speculating that “the free parking in Langford that Stew brags about won’t last forever”. Jebby also shared his thoughts on the mayor having deep business interests in the municipality he makes density decisions on.
Langford Taxpayer queried what Bylaw 1280 was, and Cheryl McLachlan explained it was about the “Community Energy and Emissions Reduction Strategy”.
Rounding out “part 1″, one of the most interesting, and perhaps unexpected, exchanges of April was when Michael Baxter (who informed other readers that “I live in Langford but I am the City Engineer for Colwood”) offered some clarification on an OpEd about public versus private sewage. The discussion grew from there with author Cheryl McLachlan and others including no longer shocked, frequent commenter Tick Tock, a commenter named Freya, and an Anonymous commenter all contributing to a discussion that Michael Baxter called “a really interesting debate.” And while there’s every chance more comments might come, right now Cheryl McLachlan has the last word.
