UFO sighting over Bear Mountain?

Several paranormal-themed web sites are reporting a UFO sighting over Bear Mountain yesterday.
Date: June. 12, 2010
Time: 12:55 p.m.Location of Sighting: Bear Mountain in Langford B.C. Canada.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Cylindrical.Full Description of Event/Sighting: I noticed a flying vehicle in the sky after finishing off some work we had to do to the house we’ve been building. It was long smooth and cylindrical (cigar) shaped. Metallic (resembling stainless steel) with no visible markings, windows, doors, wings, or even a means of propulsion. It was completely silent cruising at a consistent direction, altitude and speed.
It seemed to be traveling much faster than any planes I’ve ever seen. I watched it travel from one horizon to the other in a matter of 20 seconds or so. I presume it was not man made. If in fact it is a man made craft then such a vehicle is not public knowledge.
Greater Victoria has had reports of UFOs before, and the most recent a quick web search came up with was August 2008 in Oak Bay.

It was in the paper that “Mr. Barrie said he is working on a restructuring plan that could rescue the development” Maybe its some secret testing base trying out the area in hopes of buying or renting space atop Shirt Mt. at Bear Mt. Resort – not many trees or towers to get in the way of testing super-top-secret air craft.

I think that it was only last year that there were some similar sightings of a cylinder craft over Surrey, in England. The photos were very clear, and video showed a metallic cylinder hovering at a relatively high altitude, probably below the usual flight altitude of jet aircraft. There are also some good videos of similar craft which are said to be original NASA footage. Certainly one of the most interesting types of current sightings.

Very funny but the object passed over bear mt. in a North westerly direction. Have you or anyone you know seen this object??

Adam, did the item in fact pass over Bear Mountain in a northwesterly direction? Did you personally witness this? Otherwise, there is merely a report that an object passed over Bear Mountain. These are two vastly different things. I tend to agree with Maverick. First UFO reports, and then a somewhat ominous posting about fault lines and earthquakes, as though this were somehow “news” or “new information”.

the UFO report and the fault line post were just meant for the sake of those interested, not Earth-shattering news. This is a blog with a focus on news about a single municipality, as opposed to the Gazette (five municipalities plus national news) or the T-C (13 municipalities plus national and international news) so there simply isn’t Langford-related news every day, and I’m happy to insert something that’s light-hearted and/or interesting but not necessarily newsworthy on a day when there’s nothing more pressing. The UFO piece may be of interest to some, and the fault line article was posted because some might find it interesting to see where the known fault lines are.
