Council Meeting, and upcoming election
Posted by Steven Hurdle on October 16, 2011
The Langford Council meeting agenda is up for download.
Also available on the City of Langford’s “Election Information” page is the official declaration of candidates. Things of note on it include the full slate of incumbents running again, plus two challengers for mayor, and two challengers for Council. Oddly, two of the challengers (one for each position) have the last name “Horgan”, no word yet on whether they’re related to our MLA, John Horgan.

It appears that Heather Horgan may have dropped out of the race. This is as yet unconfirmed, but the declaration of candidates (linked in article above) does not include her name. I am waiting for a call back from City Hall to confirm this.
I also have received an invitation to an all candidates meeting from the Chamber of Commerce. Below are the details as were sent to me.
